Spider Monkeys

ImageGood Afternoon everyone! Today I’m going to talk about Spider Monkeys! These Monkeys are usually seen hanging on to separate branches of trees using all of their legs and even their tail giving them a appearance as a spider. Spider Monkeys use their tail as a fifth hand which grasps branches and helps them move. These mammals diet mainly consist of 90% fruits, nuts, seeds, insects, and bird eggs. Also Spider Monkeys play a very important role in spreading seeds of different plants throughout the rainforests of South Africa. Spider Monkeys search widely for food in groups, or troops of about 30 females, males, and babies. These Monkeys are territorial and they will defend against other groups of Spider Monkeys.
