The Tiger is the BIGGEST species of the cat family. The Siberian Tiger lives in and near Forests in Siberia, some live in China and North Korea. Siberian Tigers differ from other tigers because they have fewer, paler stripes, and they also have manes. The diet of these large cats are Deer, Boar, Elk, Lynx, and Bear. They also eat smaller prey such as Fish, Rabbits, and Hares. Siberian Tigers usually hunt alone at night time. They been known to reach speeds up to 40 mph. An interesting fact about these cats are they are capable of dragging prey that would take more than one dozen to move. Siberian Tigers need to eat over 20 POUNDS of meat a day to support itself in the cold climate, it is capable of eating over 100 POUNDS in one setting. Female Siberian Tigers give birth to litters of 2 to 6 cubs, Which the raise with little or no help from the male. Cubs cant hunt until they are 18 months old.
